Synopsis
The Royal Opera House has kindly given us both their permission and their technical support for this uniquely ambitious project which is being executed by a small and highly experienced team drawn from the world of theatre, film and television.
The Miniature Opera is a 1/25th scale model of both the auditorium and the stage. It will also be fully equipped with a variety of highly sophisticated and cutting-edge technologies, including a computerized lighting rig and automated stage machinery. But even more amazingly, it will also boast a unique miniaturized holographic system which will enable real three-dimensional recordings of performers to be projected onto the stage.
Sounds somewhat implausible? Well, over the next few months this site will document our story as we work to deliver every aspect of this seemingly unattainable dream - from the drawing board right through to the glittering gala opening night.
